2. Communication

2.1. Use of Google Workspace:

2.1.1. All communication between parents, students, and tutors must be conducted through the Bright Path Learning Ltd Google Workspace platform.
2.1.2. Parents and students are expected to check their emails regularly for updates, lesson materials, and feedback.
2.1.3. Contact with tutors should be made through the tutor's Google Workspace contact. Parents and students should not contact tutors through their personal email or phone numbers.

2.2. Reporting Issues:

2.2.1. If parents or students encounter any problems, including technical issues or concerns about the lessons, they should contact the tutor or the company leadership team via learn@brightpathlearning.co.uk as soon as possible.

3. Attendance and Punctuality

3.1. Commitment to Sessions:

3.1.1. We ask parents to commit their students to tuition for the long term where possible, recognising that academic progress takes time.
3.1.2. Parents are expected to ensure that students attend all scheduled sessions and are on time.
3.1.3. We ask parents to make a half-termly commitment to their child’s academic progress where they are financially able. If parents wish to remove a student from a group, we encourage them to make these changes at the end of a half-term but to communicate this at their earliest opportunity to both the tutor and Bright Path Learning Ltd. via email using learn@brightpathlearning.co.uk.

3.2. Absences:

3.2.1 In the event that a student is unable to attend a session, parents or guardians are required to notify the tutor via the learn@brightpathlearning.co.uk email or by whatsapp at 07751 864152 with at least 24 hours notice.

3.2.2 If notice is provided less than 24 hours before the session, payment for the session will still be required, unless exceptional circumstances apply.

3.2.3 Students may miss up to three sessions per year with a full refund. The refund will be provided as a deduction from the next half term’s payment. For any additional missed sessions beyond the three, no refund will be provided. However, the tutor will supply online resources as a substitute for the missed sessions.

3.3. Lateness:

3.3.1. If a student is late to a session, parents will be informed by the tutor.
3.3.2. Persistent lateness may result in further action, including discussions between parents and the tutor to address the issue. See attendance policy for further details.

3.4. Engagement:

3.4.1. Students are expected to actively engage in their sessions, participate in discussions, and complete any assigned work.
3.4.2. If a student fails to engage regularly, the tutor will communicate concerns to the parents. If this is persistent the tutor will communicate with Bright Path Learning Ltd. to discuss removal of the student from the sessions.

4. Payment

4.1. Payment Process:

4.1.1. Parents are expected to pay for sessions on a half termly basis, in line with a payment plan provided at the start of contract. Payments are due on the first day of each term.

4.1.2. Parents are entitled to a first session free under a trial session offer.

4.1.3. Payments should be made into the designated business account, which will be provided to parents at the start of the tuition arrangement.
4.1.4. Payment should be made promptly according to the agreed schedule which will be shared during initial contact between parents/guardians and Bright Path Learning.

4.2. Refunds and Tutor Absence:

4.2.1. If a tutor is unable to attend a session and payment has already been made, a refund will be issued within 48 hours.
4.2.2. Tutors are expected to inform parents of any planned absences at the start of each half term and communicate any cancellations as early as possible.

4.2.3. At Bright Path Learning we pride ourselves on matching students with excellent, experienced teachers. For this reason, we are confident that student experience should be excellent. If however, there are any problems then parents may communicate this with company leadership at learn@brightpathlearning.co.uk. A phone call will be made to discuss the issue and support them in finding a resolution. This can entail a change of group to find a different tutor.
